Robbie entered heaven Friday January 8th in Hospice at West Fl Hospital. Robbie was born Feb 3, 1977 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
He is survived by his parents Mike and Paula Mashburn, Thomasville, AL, Alexia and Bob Jones, Pensacola, FL, Grandmother Bonnie Hawkins, Pensacola, his brothers and sisters Michael and his wife Janet, Milton, Scott and his wife Leah, Milton, Andrea and her husband Mark, Crestview, Gabrielle of Pensacola, his step sisters and brothers, Melissa, Sarah, Taylor Jenks, Nathan Kelley and Ashley Schlossberg, his aunt and uncle Jimmy and Carolyn Mashburn, who were like second parents to him, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robbie graduated from Washington High where he lettered in football. He graduated from the University of West Florida, magna cum laude, and did his post graduate work there. He coached youth baseball, was an avid fisherman who loved being on the water, and was a huge Alabama football fan, Roll Tide! He was proud of his Creek heritage and his tribal town, Tama, GA. He spent several years in Nederland, CO, and loved the mountains. Robbie spent the last 15 years battling, diabetes, cancer and other illnesses. When told his time was near he replied "I'll be in the arms of my Dear Savior". He is happy in his new home with his new body.
Robbie was a member of Heights Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16th, at 1:00 pm at Heights with Rev Brian Nott officiating.
