He was a farmer; a lodge manager in Newton, Kansas; worked in water pump operations for the City of Haskell, Oklahoma; and he operated mowing machines for Tulsa County, Oklahoma. People remember him as being a very witty and jolly person.
Delmar married twice. His wife, Lulu Beatrice Harvel Garlick, and Delmar were the parents of a daughter, Barbara Garlick. He was also married to Purvey Garlick and they had a son, Darrell L. Garlick.
Delmar Burton Garlick, 96, died on February 12, 1998, in Bixby, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held and burial was in the Bixby Cemetery.
