Mrs. Hughes, a homemaker, was born June 29, 1930 and passed away on December 27, 2015. She was 85.
Suvivors include two daughters; Sonya Diane Robinson and husband Jacky of Mineral Springs, AR and Gale Hughes Goolsby of Bossier City, LA. One sister; Betty Jean Wyatt of Jonesboro, LA and two brothers, Donald Eugene Shankles and wife Mary Lillian of Ruston, LA and Jerry Shankles and wife Shirley of Jonesboro, LA. Mrs Hughes has four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Fannie Shankles; her husband; John Edward Hughes, a daughter; Jane Ellen Hughes, and a sister; Joy Shankles Haile.
