"Joel P. Stone died from chronic colitis in Confederate Military Hospital No. 2 in Wilson Co., North Carolina on August 13, 1864. He enlisted in Anderson Co., South Carolina in 1863 and was in 6th Cavalry, South Carolina Co E."
