Mrs. Thelma Crews Strickland, 88, died Tuesday night (January 12, 2016) at Life Care Center of Jacksonville, FL after an extended illness.

She was born in Hoboken to the late Ira J. Crews and Neva Dixon Crews. She is the wife of the late Herbert E. Strickland.

Survivors include two daughters, Neva Karon Strickland Ross (Scott) of Jacksonville, FL, and Connie Marie Strickland Smith of Bryceville, FL; five grandchildren, Angie Wells (Jim), Shauna Davis (Calvin), Amanda Maloney (Shaun), Derek Smith and Del Smith; six great grandchildren, Austin Wells, Jay Wells, Ansley Wells, Alden Davis , Brody Davis and Wyatt Smith; one great great grandchild, Raylan Wells; two brothers, Fleming Crews and Whitmer Crews both of Hoboken; one sister, Mary Thomas of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday (January 16, 2015) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
