Bessie Bell Victory Parker, age 88, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2015. A native of Christiana, TN, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Parker; daughter, Dorothy Taylor; parents, John and Virgie Newman Victory; and a sister, Margaret Stacey.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Buddy Neal will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Gary Parker of Smyrna, Don Parker and his wife, Lynn of Manchester, TN, Betty Newman and her husband, Ray of LaVergne, TN, Brenda Elliott and her husband Joe L. of Murfreesboro, TN, Teresa Pittman and her husband, Eddie of LaVergne, TN, Helen Parker of Murfreesboro, TN, and Linda Turner and her husband, Inman of LaVergne, TN; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and was a former member of Cornith Church of Christ.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville or to the Lawrence Gardner Fund at Highland Heights Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. all at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
