Mr. Armstrong was 45 years old and had spent the greater part of his life in the Brunswick community.
Mrs. Armstrong died Sept. 23, 1949.
He is survived by one daughter, Lavonne (Raydell) Almand and two sons, 1st Cl. Signalman, Leo Armstrong in North Carolina and Luke, 13 years old, at home; four grandchildren, his mother, three sisters and two brothers.
Services were held Friday, Aug. 10 from Palm River Baptist church with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery at Tampa.
Mrs. Armstrong went to Tampa by plane for the funeral.
