Helen A. Page (McCafferty), 91, of Jamestown passed away peacefully January 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William Tyler Page, III.


Born in Jamestown, she was a daughter of the late Phillip V. and Madeleine (Wills) McCafferty.

Mrs. Page was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and tennis. She was also an avid reader and was a member of the literacy council in Maryland. She enjoyed knitting and loved to travel; the highlight of her travels was going back to Ireland.

She adored and cherished her grandchildren.

She leaves nine children, Nancy Thorne of CA, William Tyler Page, IV of Jamestown, Judy Wolfrey of VA, Mary Josephine Page of CA, John Page of CA, Cathy Evans of CA, Suzy Wooliver of AK, Stephen Page of Jamestown and Elizabeth Jane Paquette of NH; a sister-in-law, Therese McCafferty of East Greenwich; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Phillip McCafferty, Jr.; and grandmother of the late Kirsten Brydum.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 8:45am from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 5-7pm.
