Marian was the 4th child born to Jacob Lewis and Henrietta Seybert Priester of Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.
She married Rev Paul Hindman October 21, 1946 in Rimersburg.
Paul attended schools in Chesterville, Ohio and was a graduate of Ohio State University and Associate Presbyterian Theological Hall, Rimersburg, Pa. He moved to Minneola, Kansas in 1945 to serve as pastor of the Associate Presbyterian CHurch, now the Reformed Presbyterian Church. for 30 years. He was appointed postmaster, in Minneola, in 1976 and served until he retired in 1987.
Paul also served several terms on the Minneola Hospital Board.
Marian is survived by her husband of 56 years and three sons. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother, all of Pennsylvania. A brother , Robert, preceded her in death.
Marian was an artist, capturing the outdoors on canvas. One of her favorite locations to paint was The Narrows on the Allegheny River near her hometown in Rimersburg, PA.

MINNEOLA — Marian June Hindman, 80, Minneola, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002.
Mrs. Hindman was born Marian June Priester on July 4, 1922, at Rimersburg, Pa. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; three sons, James Edward of Dension. Leslie Alan of Salina and David Todd of Hutchinson; a brother, J. Roger Priester of Rimersburg; two sisters, Georgiana Delp of Natrona Heights. Pa., and Janet Van Gorder of Butler, Pa.; and six grandchildren.
The funeral was Friday at United Methodist Church, Minneola. Burial was in Appleton Township Cemetery, near Minneola.
Memorials may be made to the Minneola Health Care Foundation or Minneola United Methodist Church, Minneola, in care of Minnis Mortuary. Minneola.
