Michael, Heather and Sam Staggs, a beloved and dear family who perished unexpectedly as the result of a fire at their home on December 23, 2015 are still united just as they were before transitioning over to their eternal home in Heaven. Michael, born July 27, 1977 in Greenville, SC to David M. Staggs, Sr. of Charlotte and the late Mary Roberts Hawkins, will be remembered for his warm heart and deep and abiding affection for his family and especially his son. Heather, born November 5, 1981 in Rutherfordton to James K. “Butch” Arrowood and Robin Arrowood of Union Mills, was the eternal optimist, bubbly and full of fun and always wearing a smile, devoted her life completely to her husband and son. And Sam, cherished son, grandson and nephew, born June 3, 2010 in Rutherfordton, lived his life wide open, full of the joys of childhood and winning the hearts of all who knew him with his beautiful smile and convivial personality. All three, deeply loved and dearly missed, will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.

In addition to his father, Michael leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; besides her loving parents, Heather leaves her devoted brother, Matthew Arrowood and his wife Crystal of Rutherfordton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sam held a special place in his uncle Matt’s heart but his passing weighs especially heavy on the hearts of his grandparents as well.

The lives of this dear family will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. The families will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
