Sherri Lynn Moore, 62, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Born on May 13, 1953 in Davenport, Sherri was the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Rollins) Hooper. On November 10, 1972 in Davenport, she married Chalmer S. “Sam” Moore, Jr.

Sherri cherished her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved being with her dogs, Hooper, Huey and Rico.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Sam; daughter, Amanda (Trevor) Wendler of Davenport; sons, Jason Moore of DeWitt and Cameron (Shannon) Moore of Davenport; four grandchildren, Chaz, Jaxson, Adelynn and Easton; sister, Theresa Hooper of Sterling, Illinois; and brother, Brett (Anie) Hooper of McKinney, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gregory Hooper.
