Obituary Burlington Co Times NJ Dec 11, 2002:
R.Everett Abrams, 88 of Indian Mills, passed away Tues Dec 10, 2002 at home.
Born in Tabernacle, he resided in Shamong most of his life. Everett was a life member of the Indian Mills Fire Co. He was a member of the Pine Belt Sportman's Club and American Cranberry Growers Assn. He was past director of Burlingotn Co National Bank, and past tax collector, treasurer and custodian of school monies for Indian Mills. Everett owned and operated R. Evereett Abrams Farms in Indian Mills and was the NJ State Champion Tomato Grower in 1953 and 1956.
Husband of the late Elva (Watts) Abrams; father of the late Barbara Whalen and Jane Godfrey; he is survived by one son Everett L. (Diana) Abrams Sr, three brothers: Ralph (Rita) Abrams of Shamong, John (Grace) Abrams of Tabernacle and Eugene (Pearl) Abrams of VA; eight grandchildren: Everett L Jr, Jeffrey Whalen, Steven R. Abrams, Alison Insinga, Susan Fox, Branda Yost, and David and Lisa Godfrey; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Fri Dec 13 9-10:30am at Mathis Funeral Home, Medford. Fuenral services will follow at 10:30am at Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Abrams memory to the Alzheimer's Assn.
