Wanda W Bowman, 93 formerly of Auburn passed away Sunday January 10, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Noblesville.
She was born in Rochester on December 20, 1922 to Forest R and Viola D. (Lusher) Steininger.
She was a homemaker and a very active member of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene.
Wanda was a former member of the Auburn Garden Club. She loved her family and prayed for them daily. She was very creative. Her hobbies included oil painting, glass painting, flower arraigning, sewing and decorating.
She married Paul E. Bowman on November 11, 1943 in Auburn and he passed away October 15, 2001.
Surviving are 4 daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Jim Miller of Bottineau, ND, Janel and Phillip Whan of Kendallville, Tammy and Steve Fryman of Noblesville and Paula and Cecil Williams of Noblesville; 7 grandchildren, Nanette (Jeff) Devens, Chad (Liling) Miller, Heidi (David) Sorrells, Elizabeth Snow, Roxy Snow, Morgan Williams, Seth Williams and 9 great grandchildren; a brother Hubert (Marcy) Steininger of Auburn and a sister in law, Evangeline Steininger of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Larry Bowman and 6 brothers, Dwight Steininger, Dee Steininger, Emmett Steininger, Leo Steininger, Donald Steininger and Bill Steininger.
Services are 11 AM Saturday January 16, 2016 at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 2301 North Main Street, Auburn with Rev Doug Thomas officiating.
Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
