Evelyn (Saylor) Payne, age 90 of Brookville, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. She has been a 45 year member of Salem Church of God where she was active in the Gaulke Circle. Evelyn was also part of the Original Ladies of the Salem Church of God and served on the James Kennedy Evangelistic Team. She also was a member of the Red Jacket Ladies Auxiliary for the Dayton Gems ice hockey team. She is survived by her children: Carolyn Seibel of Dayton, Ann Rohrer of Brookville, Larry (Linda) Payne of Brookville, Phillip (Brenda) Payne of Englewood, Jeffrey (Cindy) Payne of Dayton, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great-granddaughter, brother: Charles Saylor of Englewood, sisters: Thelma Parks of TN, Jean Carter of NC, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Floyd Jonathan Payne, parents: Bascum and Dora Saylor, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and grandson: Jason Neth. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Salem Church of God (6500 Southway Rd., Clayton) with Pastor Richard Triplett officiating. Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Church of God.
