Bobby Henry Harvey, 74, passed away on Sunday January 10, 2016, at G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery V.A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was held from 12:30 until 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday January 13, at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors followed in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Rev. Donnie Stuart officiated. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake was in charge of the arrangements. Harvey lived in Morton from 1965 until 2012 and then he moved to Pearl. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army in the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division from 1959 until he was injured in 1963. During this time, he was in Germany and served in the same division as Elvis Presley.

Harvey loved sports, especially the New Orleans Saints, wrestling, military movies and anything to do with Elvis Presley. He was always kind to everyone and never complained. Due to his health condition, the only way Harvey could stay at home was through the good care of his nephew, Matthew Warren, and his fiancé, Kristy Banes, and good friend, Mrs. Dorothy Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy Harvey; brothers, Andrew Eugene "Gene" Harvey in 2014 and William Floyd "Billy" Harvey in 2015.

He is survived by two sisters, Betty Windham of Lawton, Okla., and Barbara Jo Warren of Morton; one brother, Jimmy Harvey of Lake; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
