Obituary for Daniel H. Barber
Daniel passed away December 30, 2015. He was born June 6, 1941 in Littlefork, Minnesota to Margaret & Hill Barber. His siblings were sisters, Jean, Peggy, & Betty; and brother, William "Bill" Barber. Daniel was a 1959 graduate of Littlefork/Big Falls High School in Littlefork Minnesota. He joined the Marine Corp. in 1961 and served until 1964 and moved to Dallas that same year. He married his wife Karen January 22, 1966. Daniel joined the Dallas Police Department after arriving in Dallas and retired in 1988. In January of 1988 he went to work for the Dallas County DAs office and in 1989 transferred to the Dallas County Constables Office. He retired from there in 2002. He is survived by his wife Karen; son, David Barber & wife Tammy and their children, Brett and Emily; daughter, Marcy Bigerstaff and husband Chris and their children, Rachel & Matthew. A visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Jaynes. Interment will follow at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
