Clinton W. "Kenny" Evans, 82, of Crisfield, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at his home. Born on Tylerton on Smith Island December 16, 1923 he was the son of the late Gordon C. Evans and Estelle Corbin Evans. He was Co-Owner of Gordon's Confectionary in Crisfield working there since age 14. The business was established in 1924 by his late father. He was a member of the Crisfield Church of God where he was a former Council Member and Usher. He was a life member and the oldest living member of the Crisfield Fire Dept. serving for 61 years after joining in February 1945. He retired as an Assistant Chief of the department. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting with his late twin brother, Gordon C. Evans, Jr. who died in 1974. He also enjoyed riding Honda motorcycles. He graduated from Crisfield High School Class of 1941. Surviving is his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Thomas Evans. "Kenny" and "Becky" celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 15, 2006. Also surviving are two sons, Kenny G. Evans and wife, Julie, and Kevin T. Evans, both of Crisfield. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 2:00 p. m. at the Crisfield Church of God. The Rev. Phillip Morris will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Harvey Tyler. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park near Crisfield. Friends may call at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield Saturday from 7-9 p.m. or at the church Sunday from 1-2 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to Coastal Hospice, P. O.
