TRINITY -- Funeral for Margie Raye Parker will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Thompson officiating. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker, who died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at her residence, was born July 4, 1940 in Franklin County to John Jeffreys and Letha Mays Jeffreys. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Danny Jeffreys and Billy Jeffreys; and three sisters, Greta Garen, Joan Jeffreys and Sarah Childers.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Robert Clayton Parker; two sons, Michael Lynn Parker and Jeffrey Lee Parker; one daughter, Tonya L. Fosberry; two grandchildren, Parker Fosberry and Kelly Fosberry Strozier; one sister, Betty R. Terry and husband, Onice; one brother, Donald Jeffreys and wife, Anna; and several nieces and nephews.

Margie worked in Moulton as a cosmetologist and in clerical positions before moving to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. where she taught preschool for about 10 years before retiring and moving to Trinity.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
