Willard Coons, 70 of Louisville, died Sunday, May 20 at his residence. He was a native of Sulphur; the son of the late William Henry and Mildred Popp Coons; a member of the First Lutheran Church, Louisville; a retired Receiving and Shipping Foreman at Belknap, Incorporated in Louisville, where he worked for 35 years.
He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Keown, Tyner, North Carolina, Mrs. Dennis (Nancy Ann) Jeffries, Palmyra, Indiana and Mrs. Robert (Henrietta) Bethea, Wade, North Carolina; three sons: Billy Joe Coons, Lebanon, Tennessee, Pete Coons, LaGrange and Paul Coons, Louisville; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one sister: Mrs. Herbert (Lilly Jo) Florence, Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23rd at the Radcliffe Funeral Home, LaGrange. Rev. Ray Snider, pastor of the Sulphur United Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Sulphur Cemetery.
