Jacob Burkett, Of RD Honesdale

Jacob Lee Burkett, 72, of RD 1 Honesdale, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug.30, 1994, in Wayne Memorial Hospital. His wife, the former Bertha M. Leuz, survives.

Born in Uniontown, son of the late Jacob Lee and Ella Condon Burkett, he was a retired biomedical technician and a member of the Seventh Day Adventists, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and his wife moved to the Honesdale area from Revere in 1987. On Wednesday,Aug. 31, they would have ce1ebated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Sullivan, Lake Ariel; a son, Jacob Lee, Richlandtown; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, from the Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 North Main St., Honesdale. Cremation will follow at the Maple Hill Crematory, Wilkes-Barre

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American heart Association, 17Putnam St., Honesdale, 18431.
