He was a member of Marion Second Baptist Church and had worked for Federal Bureau of Prisons and was a veteran of the Navy during World War II.
He was born November 29, 1928 in Leavenworth KS to Charles Henry and Pearl Trackwell Norris. He married Letitia Costin May 10, 1959 in San Anselmo CA and she survives. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kim Norris of Marion, daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Joe LaChiana of Marion and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Norris and sister, Geraldine
