Edward Dale Tigert, 90, of China, died Friday, January 1, 2016, at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Beaumont. He was born on September 23, 1925, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Cleo Turner Tigert and Earl Tigert, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Dale was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II. He was retired from DSI Transportation with over forty years of employment.

Dale is survived by his sister, Sue Gossett; brother, Norris Tigert; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Tigert; and siblings, Thelma Thigpen; Allie Tosh; Bobby Tigert; Jack Tigert; and Dovie Knight.

A gathering of Mr. Tigert’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
