Ellen S. Shannon was born May 17, 1888 youngest of 9th children, daughter of James Shannon II and Sarah Berg Shannon. She was a school teacher and sunday school teacher. She married Joseph Henry Kunce Dec. 24, 1918 son of Henry Kunce and Ella Cleveland. Together they had four children: Esther Frederick, Joyce Neaville, Leslie Kunce & James Kunce. She died August 25, 1963 in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney, Richland Co. Illinois. they lived on a farm outside of Mt. Erie till in later life move into the town of Mt. Erie.
