Born in Nacogdoches, Texas, on April 11, 1921, he was the son of Edgar Reed and Minnie (Redding) Lee Reed.
Travis served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. After 35 years of service he retired from Southwestern Bell. He was also a current member of Bridge City Lodge #1345 and Second Baptist Church in Bridge City.
He was preceded in death his parents; his wife, Artie Reed; his brothers, Riley Reed, Byfurd Reed, Robert Lee and Cleve Lee; sister, Lorene McClain.
He is survived by his daughters Arlene Perez and husband Chaz and Elaine Smith- Galvan and husband John; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
