--Third child of Richard Alexander and wife Creola Davidson. Although headstone lists her birth year as 1922, that is not correct as she was already living at the time of the 1920 census.

--Graduate of Second Ward High School and NC Central University, where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Home Economics.

--She married Leon Williams on July 10, 1976, probably not her first marriage. They were divorced in February 1985 in Mecklenburg County.

--Member of Zeta Phi Beta.

--Occupation: She retired from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County School system as a Home Economics teacher dedicated to making a difference in the lives of her students.

--Until she became ill, she was an active member of MemorialPresbyterian Church serving in Missionary Circle Number One as well as on the Hospitality Committee and a distinguished member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She lived a life marked by generosity and service.
