She died at midnight Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006 at Hearthstone Place of natural causes. A native of Anderson County, she was born April 14, 1916, the daughter of the late James Thomas and Rosie Dean Parmer Willard. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, Carlton McKinney, died in 1970.
Survivors include a son, James "Bobby" McKinney, Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Betty Jo Wheeler, Elkton, Judy Del Ponte, Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, William Hansford Willard, Shelbyville, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
