Mr. Edwin Locke Shipman, Jr.; 65, died Saturday, August 27, 1994 at Highland Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana, Caddo Parish, where he was a parient.
He was an electrician and resided on Route 4, Marshall, Texas. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was the son of Edwin Locke Shipman, Sr and Dochie Lewis Shipman.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Helen Murphree Shipman of Marshall, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Jenny Trammell of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Margaret Ann Krass of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Dorothy Buchanan of Burlington, Texas; a step-daughter, Mrs. Angie Weldon of Bruce, Miss.; two sons, Raymond Shipman of Arlington, Texas, and Eddie Shipman of Fort Worth, Texas; three step-son, Tony Allen of Ore City, Texas, Terry Allen and Jeff Allen, both of Marshall, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Brooks of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Pace of Dubberly, Louisiana; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchile.
Funeral services were held August 30, 1994 at Taylor Church of God of Prophecy, at Vardaman, Miss. Bro Mark Bristow officiated, assisted by Rev. Sherman Adams. Burial was in the Taylor Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Allen, Will Weldon, Andy Allen, Chris Buchanan and Josh Shipman. Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce, Miss. was in charge of arrangements.
