She spent her early life in Monroe where she graduated from Monroe High School and was part of the marching band and swim team. Faye lived in Milwaukee before moving to Burlington 21 years ago. She worked as a secretary at Mt. Sinai Hospital, was office manager with ITEC Innkeepers’ Telemanagement and then in her later years was a secretary at American Girl. She loved working in her flower garden and traveling and was fortunate to have been able to go to Europe several times.
She is survived by her children, Scott Stoffers, Cary Stoffers, Tahtia (Robert West) Ford; daughter-in-law, Tina Gabor; special friend of 25 years, Steven Sanfilippo; grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) Stoffers, Kory Stoffers, Hailey Lynn (fiancé Luis Nava) Stoffers and great grandson, Nicholas Nava. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Forrest “Woody” Moy; niece, Ellen Moy-DeRosa and great nephew, Jonathan DeRosa along with additional family members in the Chicago and Monroe areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jane Moy and nephew-in-law, Joseph DeRosa.
Services for Faye will be held on Wednesday January 13, 2015 at 7PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, corner of Hwy W & Hwy E in Burlington. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM to 7PM. Burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Faye’s neighbors, Craig & Erica for always helping with snow plowing; Dave who was always willing to help in the garden, and Linda and all the other nurses with Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care.
