Bettie L. Cook, a homemaker, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at the age of 91. Service: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet. Bettie was born May 25, 1924, in Monticello, Ill. She moved to Fort Worth in March of 1957. She was a member of the Interdenominational Church of Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. Cook; sister, Wanda E. Pickney; and daughter, Sandra J. Brantley. Survivors: Daughter, Kathy Houp and husband, Kim; sons, Terry Lee Hanks of Tampa, Fla, Dennis L. Cook and wife, Amy, and Jerry W. Cook of Angels Camp, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
