Rodney Nelson, 52, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died Jan. 7, 2016, at Camden Clark Medical Center after a battle with dementia.
He was born in Parkersburg, W.Va. Rodney was a Christian and is assured eternal life with the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Midcap) Nelson; four children, Rodney Nelson Jr. (Amber), Randall Nelson (Elisha), Ryan Nelson (Kaleigh) and Maranda Johnson (Mike), all of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; and four brothers and sisters, Denver Nelson, Cassandra Geer, Becky Deere and Clifford Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Annabelle (Wolfe) McClung.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Gary Pack officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
