She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 4, 1953, to Robert Holt and Louise Virginia Miles Holt. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ashland City. She worked and retired from the State of Tennessee as an account technician. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Holt; stepfather, Robert Delius; father-in-law, William A. Carr; and grandchild, Devin Bowker. She is survived by her mother, Louise Delius; husband, Dennis Carr; mother-in-law, Mildred Carr; sons: Tony Randall Bowker (Cynthia) and William Christopher Carr; brother, Roger Delius (Joy); sisters, Linda Sue Anderson (Steve), Shelia Hodges (Billy), and Janet Romans; and grandchild, Dustin Anthony Bowker. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Dr. Sam Creed and Rev. James W. Burd officiating. Burial will follow in Sango Cemetery in Clarksville, Tennessee.
