Alpha J. Lindsey, 78, of Columbia passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, in Columbia.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1936, in Columbia, the daughter of Ella (Rippeto) and Andrew Elisha Sapp.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (L.J.) Perkins, Johnny (Vickie) Samuel, Debbie (Terry) Foreman and David (Ruth) Samuel; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy, her parents and a sister.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boone Hospital Center Homecare and Hospice or to The American Cancer Society.
