Harold “Harry” Geiger, age 68, of 626 Manitowoc St., Reedsville, passed away Thursday, January 16, 1997, at Manitowoc Health Care Center, following a short illness.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, 1997, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. Rev. William O’Brien will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.He was born July 27, 1928, in the town of Maple Grove, son of the late Frank and Mary Dvorachek Geiger. On August 4, 1951, he married Lorraine Kochan in Reedsville. Harry served in the United States Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. He was employed at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, Reedsville Lions Club, Amvets Post #1032, Reedsville American Legion Post #199, Catholic Knights, Charter member of the Knights of Columbus, West Maple Grove Huntington Club, and a retired Reedsville fire fighter.Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Joe Hoyer, Brillion, Audrey and Joe O’Niel (sic), Green Bay; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lorraine Geiger, Ray and Shirley Geiger, all of Brillion; his mother-in-law, Olive Kochan, Reedsville; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Floyd Johnson, Two Rivers; Ralph Elliot, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis; his father-in-law, Myron Kochan; one sister-in-law, Janet Elliot.Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.The Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.Herald Times Reporter, January 18, 1997 P.
