Ruth V. West, 84, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, after a brief illness.
She was born in Chicago and she moved to Vero Beach 20 years ago, coming from Bethlehem, Pa.
She was a member of the Moravian Church in Bethlehem.
She was a volunteer with the Tambourine Thrift Shop, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her sons, John West of Atlanta and William West of Miami; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic W. West; a son, Frederic West III; and a daughter, Barbara West.
Donations may be made to Tulane University, Abdominal Transplant Fund, 1430 Tulane Ave. TW-34, New Orleans, LA 70112.
There will be no repose or visitation. Services will be scheduled for a later date.
