Constance Marie Dente Barker “Connie”, of Seminole, FL went to the Lord on December 29, 2015 at the age of 92.
Originally from Pennsylvania, she spent much of her life on Long Island in New York before finally settling in Florida. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Marrapodi. Her siblings, also deceased, included Alfred, Joseph, George and Louis. She was a devoted wife to the late Joseph C. Dente, mother of two children; Dorothea J. Lynn and the late Robert J. Dente; grandmother to Ralph Lestingi, Michael Lestingi, William Lestingi, Christina Lambert, Robert Dente II, Tina Marie Dente, and great grandmother.
Before becoming a wife and mother, Connie did some modeling and also tap dancing for the USO. But nothing delighted her more than becoming a wife and mother. She enjoyed life immensely and was very dedicated to the Lord. She was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Petersburg and attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines 33744 with Father Viet Nguyen officiating.
