Gerald G. Wells, son of George and Olga Wells, was born June 25th, 1904, in Exira, Iowa and passed away at the Dexter Clinic Hospital April 11, 1969, after having known for three years that he was a victim of cancer.

He attended schools in Winterset and Dexter, and was united in marriage with Leone Coulter on October 30, 1927. To them were born five children.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife, Leone (Bill) and five children; Robert, Richard, and Paul of Dexter, Iowa, and Virignia Bond of Earlham, Iowa and Connie Weber of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There are seventeen grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will long remember his friendly smile and kindly acts of good will, including his three brothers and two sisters: Russell Wells and Mervin Wells and Mrs. Florence Lenocker of Dexter; Mrs. Doris Keating of Winterset, Iowa, and Glenn Wells of Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Wells farmed until 1953, at which time he engageed in construction work. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Dexter, and was active in the Odd Fellows Lodge.
