She was a devoted Christian, housewife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, going to yard and garage sales, flea markets, quilting, and spending time with her sisters.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years: Charles L. Bowles, her parents, one brother, two sisters, two grandsons: Adam W. Yates and Michael R. Bowles, and three brothers in law.
Mrs. Bowles is survived by four sons: Charles Bowles and wife Sue of Paragould, Arkansas, Roy Bowles and wife Dee of Essex, Missouri, Ronald Bowles and wife Ellen of McCrory, Arkansas, Leon Bowles and wife Rachel of Sioux City, Iowa, three daughters: Peggy Voss and husband Don of Imperial, Missouri, Maxine LaFleur and husband Jim of Sioux City, Iowa, Barbara Bowles of Searcy, Arkansas, one brother: Ronnie Wells of Paragould, Arkansas, two sisters: Evelyn Daniels of Paragould, Arkansas, Joy Wheeler of Windsor, Missouri, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation is 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Morehouse First Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri. Funeral services will start at 1:00 p.m. at the church with interment following in Morley Cemetery, in Morley, Missouri.
