Well Known Russellville Merchant Dies

George Franklin Breedlove, age 65, died Tuesday evening at his home at 613 South Commerce. A native of West Plains, Missouri, he was a well known Russellville Merchant. Mr. Breedlove came to Russellville in and has been in the merchantile business here since that time. For the past several years he has operated Breedlove’s Sample Store on North Commerce.
He was ordained in the Baptist Ministry in 1910, and has been Chairman of the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church here since 1921. He was also a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge.
Surviving relatives include; his widow; three daughters, Mrs. James S. Johnson, of California, Mrs. Ed Clark and Mrs. LeRoy Heller, both of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, John Breedlove, of Washington State and Russell Breedlove, of California; six sisters, Miss Sally Breedlove, Miss Bertha Breedlove, Mrs. John Roberts, Mrs Arch Penticost, and Mrs. Orva Stanbrough, all of Missouri and Mrs. Byrl Utley of California; and three Grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 3:30 in the First Baptist Church, in charge of the Rev. W.E. Speed, Rev. Fritz E. Goodbar, Rev. Robert M. Wright and Rev. J.B. Seymour. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Gardner Funeral Service. The body will lay in state at the Gardner Funeral Home from 2:30 Wednesday afternoon until Friday afternoon.

Pallbearers for the John Breedlove funeral, which will be held at the First Baptist Church on Friday afternoon at 3:30 will be;
Active; Rollow Carden, Robert Scarlet, George Roys, Fay J. Bullock, W.O. Wright, Earl Ruff and Dr. J. Arnold Henry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons of the First Baptist Church and all of Mr. Breedlove’s friends.
