CECIL W. CARR DIES SUDDENLY
Well known Carpenter Passes at Helena Thursday after Pneumonia Illness
Cecil W. Carr, aged 48, died in a hospital at Helena last Thursday night following a brief illness of pneumonia, the body being brought here the following day for funeral.
A native of Michigan, he came to Montana a number of years ago and for the past five years has made his home in Dillon, working as a carpenter and ranch hand. A brother in Wyoming and sister in South Dakota survive.
Last spring he joined the government force on the Fort Peck dam but returned to Helena in the winter to take part in the reconstruction of quake damaged buildings. During the Christmas holidays he visited here and friends were surprised to learn of his sudden passing as he seemed in good health at that time.
The funeral was held from the Brundage chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. J.A. Meeke of Grace Methodist church officiating and interment was made in the cemetery at Mountain View. A sister, Mrs. Williams of Rapid City, South Dakota, was here to attend the rites.
