Betty Jean Cretsinger, 81, passed away peacefully the early morning hours, Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late William Clyde Cash and Sarah Elizabeth Cash.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lynn Cretsinger, her daughter, Heather Cretsinger, grandson, Charles Donald Moffett, and her brother, William Earl Cash.

Those left to cherish Betty's memory include her children: Donna Sherfey and husband Doran, Deana Cross and George Garland, Dana Burns and husband Donald, Donis Cretsinger and wife April; grandchildren: Jared Burns, Sarah Burns, Joseph Burns, Dj Kurtis Cretsinger, and Amber Swim; great-grandchildren: Ezra Zane Burns, and Lyla Rose Burns; sister, Martha Lou Lewis and her husband Carl, several nieces and nephews, special caregiver, Ginny McGee, numerous special friends, neighbors, and her Highland Christian Church family.

The family will greet friends to share memories on Sunday, January 10, 2016 beginning at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services until a Celebration of Life Service for Betty at 4:00 pm with Pastor Byron Paddock officiating. Committal services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be sent to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-9950 or to Highland Christian Church 300 Highland Church Road Johnson City TN 37615.
