Florence A. Ray (Lawton), 94, of Jamestown, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2016, at Kent Regency. She was the wife of the late Austin N. Ray.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Percy and Ruth (Waterman) Lawton. Mrs.
Ray was a bookkeeper for the former Warwick Shoppers World for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her sons, Brian A. Ray of Jamestown and Donald A. Ray of Arlington, TX; two brothers, James Lawton of Maine and Robert Lawton of Cranston; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jane M. Baer and sister of the late Donald Lawton and Dorothy Pentilla.
Her funeral and burial were private.
