Dale Monroe Chapin, age 87, of Staples, MN, passed away on January 7, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Dale was born in Aldrich Township on July 20, 1928 to Milton and Josephine (Winter) Chapin.
Dale is survived by his children, Luna Rankin, Lake Forest, CA, Lynn Dauphinais, Greenville, SC, Lani Schmig (Rick), Greenville, SC, David Chapin, American Fork, UT, Dale Grove (Jeff), Pine River, MN; nine grandchildren, Crystal, Tylar, Ricky, Kiah, Alanna, Moriah, Dylan, Elena, Ava; four great-grandchildren, Travis, Evangeline, Adair, Kolton; siblings, Dolores Johnson, Eloise (Marvin) Ryan, Gloria Freeman, Carol Heldman and Larry (Sherry) Chapin.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Josephine; two brothers, Burl, Henry; two sisters, Phyllis Peterson and one infant sister; two infant sons.
Memorial Service for Dale will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 7:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home (102 sixth street NE Staples) with visitation from 4-7PM prior to the service.
Interment will be held at the MN State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
