Bruce Edward Barker, Sr., 67, of Emmaus, died Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown after battling cancer. He was a construction estimator with A.P. Houser in Emmaus for 45 years, during which time he developed a reputation for integrity and worked on numerous commercial and residential projects throughout the Lehigh Valley. But his greatest joy in life was his family. He was devoted to his wife of 45 years, Carol (Kondravy) Barker, whom he met while both were students at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as to his four sons. He was an active parishioner at Saints Peter & Paul Church in Allentown. A native of Penn Hills, he also loved Pittsburgh and the Steelers.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Carol; sister, Kathleen Cefalo; son, Bruce Jr.; son, Jeremy, and daughter-in-law, Rachel Belani-Barker; son, Eric, daughter-in-law, Layne Powers Barker, and beloved granddaughter, Bridget Genevieve; and son, Evan, and Evan's fiancée, Laura Gallagher.

Services: A viewing will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM Friday, January 8 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. Another viewing will be held from 9-10 AM Saturday, January 9 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1065 Fullerton Ave., Allentown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
