He died at: 3rd Division G H (Grosvenor House Hospital) Alexandria, Virginia.

Enlistment State: Pennsylvania

Rank: Private

Regiment: 23RD Pennsylvania Infantry, Company I (History of Lancaster Co PA has him enlisted with 2ND Regiment, Company E).

Cause of death: Chronic Diarrhea

Muster roll shows he was recruited at Philadelphia on 13 Aug 1861, for 3 years. He was laid to rest at Alexandria, Virginia, in grave 653. See page 239 in the following link.
