Obituary for Taylor "Bud" W. Knight
Taylor " Bud" Knight, 85, of Manhattan, passed away Monday, January 4th, at home surrounded by family after a three year fight with cancer, in which he remained strong and loving with his always present sense of humor.

"Bud" was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on October 12, 1930, the son of the late Martha Lucile (Jolly) and Henry Knight. He graduated Neosho Rapids High School, Neosho Rapids, Kansas.

Bud married LaVerne Long on September 12, 1954 at the First Christian Church in Manhattan and just celebrated sixty-one years of marriage. He served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as a SSG. For 35 years he operated Knight's Communication Services, and for 20 years Knight's Security Systems. Most recently he was working at MS Liquor store where he enjoyed his dailey contact with his customers.

Bud is survived by; his wife, Grace Knight; a daughter, Daye Lynne Runion, of Manhattan; two sons; Mitchell W, (Sue) Knight , of Randolph; Douglas B, (Cathy) Knight, of Franklin, KY.
a sister; Barbara Givens, of Alexandria VA; a brother; Richard Knight, of Florida; survived by three grandchildren; Jesse (Diedra), Courtney (Sean), Whitney (Brett) and two great-grandchildren; Peyton and MaKenzie; a brother in law; Doug Long (Jinna)of Manhattan, and many nieces and nephews.

Bud is preceded in death by one sister; Betty Bubendorf , one brother; Jim Orr, and a brother and sister in law; John and Betty Zoeller.

In memory of Bud we ask that you hug your families, enjoy each day with them, because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Cremation has taken place per Bud's request. Friends are invited to call with family present on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 3-5pm at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation. 1317 W. Poyntz Ave, Manhattan.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 11th, at the Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation in Manhattan, with inurnment following at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd, with Military Honors.
