Brian K. Locke, 27, formerly of Racine, died unexpectedly as the result of a go-kart accident on Saturday, October 1, 2005. He was born in Racine on May 7, 1978, to Kenneth and Karen (nee: Anderson) Locke. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1996. Brian worked for Schaefer Automotive Sales in Racine and Heiser Trailer Sales in West Milwaukee. He was a proud Union Steward of the Teamsters Local 43. He attended Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. A true outdoorsman, Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman, who also loved spending time around big campfires. He enjoyed late model dirt track racing and working on cars with his friends. His survivors include his mother, Karen (Ernie Schlegel) Locke of Oak Creek; sister, Cindy (Robert) Eichhorn; grandmother, Margaret Smith; uncles and aunts, Jerry Anderson, Linda Glass, all of Racine, and Kathy (Howard) Kaye of Arizona; Godmother, Barb (John) Dohner of Janesville; nieces and nephews, Kaitlynn, Dylan, Morgan, and Mason Eichhorn; and special friends, Sheridan, Mike and Cindy, Al and Amy, Dan, Al, Nikkolas, Caoilfhionn, Mackenzie, and Stacey. Brian is also survived by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Locke on November 28, 1996; maternal grandfathers, Dale Anderson and Lee Smith; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Opal Locke; and cousin, Eric Glass. His Funeral service will be held at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 South Green Bay Road, on Friday, October 7, 2005, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Samuelson officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. for a public visitation. There will also be a visitation in the church on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. Brian was a loyal son, brother, and friend. He will be missed.
