Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Ann Gibson Newman will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Cory Waddell, Bro. F. H. Gates, and Bro. P. J. Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation Friday 3-7 PM and Saturday after 11 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Newman, age 73 of Lebanon, a loving wife, sister and friend passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2015, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.

Born April 2, 1942, in Davidson County, she is the daughter of the late Wesley Gerald and Gladys Snoddy Gibson. She was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. She was also a member of the National Red Hat Society and the Classie Lassies Chapter-Lebanon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. “Shorty” Newman; and three sisters, Johnnie Marie McElroy, Frances Geraldine Waite, and Dorothy Jean Hendrickson.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Stone of Hendersonville; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
