Ronnie J. Durham, 69, of Botetourt County, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was the owner of Ron’s Gunshop.
Ron was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Billy Lucas and is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Rebecca Dickerson Durham; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Angela Durham; two daughters, Melinda Landes and Maria Jamison; four grandchildren, Joshua Landes and wife Michelle, Storm Durham, Samuel Jamison and Jack Durham; three sisters, Shirley Duggins and husband Robie, Nancy Hall and husband Robert, Brenda Setliff; one brother, Pete Durham and wife Nancy; and special hunting buddy, Allan Schoonover.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Rev. Patrick Starkey officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Oakey’s East Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
