Carilel Boyce Steinman, 95, of Gaskin, FL, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006. She was born on May 22, 1911 in Denver, CO. She was a member of Gaskin First Baptist Church. She moved to Osceola County in 1915. She was an Osceola County pioneer. She moved to Walton County in 1995 to live with her only son, George H. Steinman and his wife, mary. Caribel was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Earl R. Steinman.
Caribel is survived by her only son, George H. Steinman, of Gaskin, FL; three granddaughters, Donna Shanahan, of Nashville, TN, Shelly Evans, of Dothan, AL, and Lori Malson, of Gaskin; five great-grandchildren, Chrystal Plemmons, Dustin Di-Virgilio, Dylan Shanahan, Kami Shanahan, and Carly Malone, and three great-great-grandchildren, Cody Quick, Cameron Quick, and Brooklyn Stevens.
Services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Gaskin First Baptist Church, with Brother James Barrentine and Pastor Larry Sweat officiating.
