Calvin C. Zimmerman was born on his father's farm on Carroll's Manor and attended the public schools of that neighborhood until he attained his majority. About 1874, after the death of his father, he took charge of the home farm which he afterward sold to George C. Renn. Later he located in Mt. Pleasant district and about ? engaged in raising and ? goldfish. He was a Republican in politics and some years ago was for office of the Judges of the Orphans Court. He was a member of the Reformed church.
Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. M.R. Etchison and Son were the funeral directors.

A very large crowd attended the double funeral of JOHN HENRY and CALVIN CRONISE ZIMMERMAN, which took place from the home of William H. Burrier, near zmt. Pleasant Wednesday. Services were held at the house. Automobiles filled with friends and relatives the deceased formed a procession that extended one mile.
Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery; M.R. Etchison and Son were the funeral directors.
